About me
My journey into yoga began at home.
My father was advised to build strength in his body, but traditional yoga classes didn’t feel right for him. Rather than asking him to fit into a space that felt uncomfortable, I chose to meet him where he was. I taught myself, learned through practice, and began sharing yoga with him at home — a practice we still share together today.
At the same time, I was working in a busy office environment. As my own practice deepened, colleagues began to ask if they could practise with me too. Many of them were feeling overwhelmed, mentally drained, and disconnected from their bodies. They weren’t looking to become more flexible or to “do yoga properly” — they were simply looking for a way to breathe, soften, and cope with the intensity of modern life.
That’s when I realised how deeply this kind of yoga was needed.
I believe yoga doesn’t need to be intimidating or performance-based. It can be gentle, grounding, and supportive. It can build strength without force, create space for rest, and offer calm in the midst of busy lives.
Lotus & Fern was created from this understanding — inspired by nature and rooted in care. My classes are designed to be accessible, nurturing, and adaptable, meeting each person exactly where they are, both physically and mentally.
This is a space where softness is honoured, stillness is valued, and every body is welcome.

The pillars of practice

Gentle Strength
Strength doesn’t have to be forceful.
Our practice focuses on building strength slowly and safely, supporting the body without pushing it beyond its limits. Movements are accessible, adaptable, and grounded — allowing strength to grow with care and intention.
What this means in practice:
-
Options always offered
-
Functional, supportive movement
-
Strength without pressure or strain

Rest is not a reward — it is part of the practice.
We intentionally create space for stillness, longer holds, and moments of pause. This allows the nervous system to settle and the body to restore, supporting both physical and mental wellbeing.
What this means in practice:
-
Slower pacing
-
Time to pause and breathe
-
Space to soften and release
Deep Rest & Stillness

Every body, every day, is different.
Our teaching adapts to you — your energy, your experience, and your needs in that moment. There is no expectation to perform or keep up. You are invited to listen inward and practise in a way that feels supportive and kind.
What this means in practice:
-
No pressure, no comparison
-
Inclusive and accessible classes
-
A welcoming, supportive environment
